Nutrition and health care in the future
We will take better care of our health. We will start discovering our power in creating health. We will begin to understand the causal relationships between the mind and the body. We will take responsibility for the state of our health or illness. We will start treating the causes of diseases instead of suppressing the symptoms. We will begin to get to know and listen to our bodies more. We will regularly cleanse our bodies through fasting or detox programs to support its proper functioning. We will eat healthier, and we will become more interested in the quality of what we eat. We will consciously consume foods that support and expand our gut microbiome. Our gut microbiome will become more diverse and healthier. We will eat less meat. We will eat more plant-based foods. We will eat foods rich in fiber. We will drink more plant-based beverages.
Let’s also take a broader perspective on future trends.
In the movie Health Goes Through the Stomach, which you can watch on Netflix, scientists focus on the microbiome and its impact on our health. It is understandable that scientists concentrate solely on the studied area, and stress and its effects on health in general, as well as on the health of the microbiome, are only briefly mentioned. However, we cannot ignore stress and the causes of its emergence, because a comprehensive view of health would be severely distorted. If we want to start taking care of our health, we must understand not only what health is, but also who and what creates it. If we don’t understand this or fail to pay attention to all the components so they function properly both independently and together, the result will not be health but disease. Even though we think we’re taking care of our health, we won’t achieve the desired result. We may experience a short-term state of health, but it won’t be the lasting state we all wish for. All we need to do is look at the mathematics: if we omit something in the calculation or solve a partial calculation incorrectly, the final result will also be incorrect.
“The gut is often thought of as just where waste comes from, but it has become the heart of the biomedical revolution. Diseases like anxiety, depression, cancer, autism, and Parkinson's all relate to digestion. It’s a new science, just the tip of the iceberg. The remaining 97% we still need to discover.”
But we don’t need to. This has been discovered long ago. All diseases are psychosomatic and relate to the mind, its programming, perception, and interpretation of everything that is and everything that happens both inside and outside. And that’s why that 97% is related to stress, which is a result of fears that our mind projects in situations where our life is not at risk. The stress code is in our DNA, and its purpose is to save our lives. It should only activate and put the body into stress mode in life-threatening situations as a response to a specific event. The problem with our lives and our health is that such situations are rare, but we live in fear and stress all the time, without even realizing it. The reason is that our mind projects fears even in situations that aren’t life-threatening. Fear contained in thoughts is always connected with our idea of a negative future. The body reacts to the mind, and thoughts of fear trigger the body’s stress response.
In stress mode, everything unnecessary for life preservation is shut down. If this state becomes chronic and lasts too long, it creates an environment where cells do not receive nourishment, oxygen, and do not expel waste. The result is a toxic environment, and as a consequence, processes in the body stop functioning properly. If we want the body to function without symptoms and want to be healthy long-term, we must eliminate fear from the mind and program it with healthy, life-enhancing beliefs. When we heal the mind, we eliminate stress from the body, and the body can then heal itself. All other factors, such as healthy eating, physical activities and exercises, hydration, and sufficient sleep, are natural consequences of a healthy mind that is aware of the importance of these factors for health.
Based on this knowledge, we must pay attention to everything that, in mutual relationships, creates either health or disease. Indirectly, this is confirmed by the idea from the film:
“When patients ask me what a healthy microbiome is, I like to compare it to a forest. When you plant a few healthy plants, you can't expect the whole forest to change. The forest needs a healthy balance in which the plants and life will thrive under the right conditions, with enough light, water, and nutrients in the soil, so everything functions together.”
This is the future: viewing health as a complex issue where everything is interconnected. To change our thinking and behavior, we need to recognize and understand these relationships and, based on that, begin to act consciously. This is the path to health, a path of change that requires time and discipline. It’s a process, and it has its laws because what we’ve acquired over the years cannot be changed with a wave of a magic wand.
And how can TIGERNUT products help you on this journey of dietary and health care change?
We find the answer again in the movie:
“What happens when we don’t eat enough fiber, which microbes feed on? When you don’t feed your gut microbes fiber, they start eating you.”
If we don’t have enough time to regularly consume fruits, vegetables, nuts, or we have intolerances or allergies, TIGERNUT products are an ideal solution for us. They are completely allergen-free and contain a high amount of fiber and healthy carbohydrates, making them an excellent food for our microbiome. Simply incorporating them into our diet and consuming them regularly will quickly yield positive results in improving digestion. Another advantage is that they taste good. If we enjoy healthy sweets, we will surely be satisfied, and thanks to the wide range of products, we can consume them anytime and anywhere.
