"The mind is a good servant, but a bad master." — Osho

"The mind is a good servant, but a bad master."
— Osho

As Adrian Monk puts it, we could say that the mind is for a person "a gift, but also a curse." If it serves us and we live our life without fear, it is a tremendous gift. But if it controls us by constantly making us fear things, it is a curse. Living in fear and living in love without fear are two completely different realities of life.

We don’t need to know everything or understand everything. But what creates our reality is something we should understand. Then we become the master of our life and its conscious creator. If we are merely at the mercy of the mind, without being aware of it and using it in the right way, we will always remain its slave and never experience any change that could move us toward health, happiness, and fulfillment in our life. We will still be controlled by our subconscious programs, and the conscious part of the mind will never have a say.

We are convinced that the key to changing our life is the mind and its programming. However, it is not as simple as many try to convince us. They tell us to start thinking positively and everything will change. But how can we begin thinking positively without first removing everything that has been making us think negatively? It doesn't work like that. Changing our thinking is a process that, like everything, has a beginning. You cannot build a house without a foundation, and everything that is supposed to be strong and steady must follow a certain sequence. Everything must have a firm foundation upon which we can build. If the result is to be lasting, certain things simply cannot be skipped. We can’t hang a roof in mid-air. Therefore, together, we will go step by step, thought by thought, brick by brick, until we build the whole house. Not a house of spirituality, but a house of understanding all the relationships of being and existence needed for the real change of our consciousness, the result of which is a higher quality of life.

The mind works like a computer. It has its programs, memories stored on the hard drive, but it also has viruses that prevent us from living the life we desire. These viruses are beliefs encoded in memories, containing lies about ourselves, others, life, and negative emotions resonating with fear, the energy of fear. Through these, the mind controls us and our life. The more of them there are, the less the mind works correctly.

If we want our mind to function properly again, we must remove the viruses. By deprogramming fear and reprogramming for love. Because fear is nothing but a thought combined with a feeling of negative expectation concerning a certain situation in the future. And what are thoughts, feelings, emotions? Energy. And the good news is that energy can be changed. Energy patterns of fear vibrating at a low frequency can be re-vibrated into energy patterns of love vibrating at a high frequency. This shift to a higher personal vibration on the level of consciousness will correspond to a changed perspective in how we perceive ourselves, others, and life. Naturally, for the better. However, for such a change, inner work with our own energy field, thoughts, feelings, and emotions is needed, based on understanding the broader context of how humans as energetic beings function.

There are many energetic tools that can be used to work within the mind. To change its programs, beliefs, and emotions. Those who are further along in consciousness development already use many of them. For those for whom this is all new, at the beginning, it will suffice to consciously practice deep breathing for creating inner peace free from thoughts, as well as consciously practicing gratitude by thanking for everything we have. There are many positive things and situations in our life that we have, experienced, or done, but we focus only on what is lacking in our life or what we judge negatively with our minds, that we don’t even realize how rich we are. We take everything positive for granted and focus all our attention on what is destroying us. Without our attention, nothing would survive because energy follows attention. Therefore, let’s redirect our attention to everything that creates our reality of happiness and not suffering. Let’s be patient, disciplined, give up expectations, and not focus on the result. Let’s do it with the belief that we are doing the best we can for ourselves and for others given the circumstances. That is love.

An enormous advantage of these exercises is, in addition to their simplicity and effect, that we don’t need anyone for them, and we can do them anywhere and anytime. This gift of being able to work with our consciousness and body is already within us, and the only one who can do these exercises for you is you. It is just the beginning, but step by step, you will discover within yourself the immense power to work with your thoughts and emotions on various levels, from which arises the change of your entire personality and, from that, the change of your reality.
